[Don't judge his dreams, bread, it could be a lot worse.]
What could be more fun?
[Besides the feelings part. He's very excited to fight, though.
Remember the Room of Fallen Ones, Dante? That's where they are, an endless sea of blood with broken giant statues - or old, dead demons rather. Maybe previous kings of the underworld. Not that it matters. It's a good place for a fight, lots of open space.
He's dressed for the setting too, not in Taisho clothes, and gives Dante a smirk when he arrives.]
I assume you won't really die if I kill you here, but if you do, I'm not taking any blame, got it?
[ he'll be in his demon hunter clothes -- the version he wears as a middle-aged man, unfortunately, not the open jacket of his teenagerhood. he has Rebellion over his shoulder, though, and he's taking it off to give an experimental swing. ]
You took the words out of my mouth. No complainin' if you die too, right?
Oh, don't worry, you won't be able to lay a finger on me.
[He grins all the more, posturing with his brother feels like his natural element.]
...Besides, I've got a bone to pick.
[One moment he's there, facing Dante, a few meters away. But the next he's directly before him, looking to start them off with payback for their first meeting.]
[ despite his casual act -- his reflexes are still on-point; he's got Rebellion pulled up enough to block the stab though the force of it still has him skidding back with that, and he twists his elbow to try and divert his brother's thrust entirely. ]
[Pushed away enough that it doesn't even glance, but he pushes back to not be completely thrown off. While he's occupied with, well, keeping Dante occupied, firing off a few summoned swords might not hurt too much, but it's a decent way to try to create an opening.]
[ those ones he takes -- and doesn't flinch even as they pierce him. it's nice to be able to do that, his half-demon strength able to far more easily keep up the pace in the context of a space like this, and there's a sharp laugh as he abruptly pulls the sword back enough to try to shove forward in a thrust with it into Vergil's gut. ]
[Does he really care if he's stabbed? Maybe he just wants to get Dante more -- it's stupid to step into it just so he can counter, but he's so petty right now, he just can't help it. He takes the stab, only to lunge forward too, Yamato angled from below.]
How badly do you want to kill me? Willing to destroy yourself too?
[ he takes that, too -- along with the other swords piercing him from before Yamato sinks into him, as smoothly cutting flush as it does everything else, grunting as he tries to wrench Rebellion back out of him. ]
[He scoffs, even through clenched teeth, twisting the blade.]
Oh, come on, you attack me immediately on sight and you're going to say you don't want me dead? I saw Nero's memory too -
[Taking the end of the sheathe to push off Dante for momentum, he lands back on his feet a short distance away, swiping the sword through the air to clean it.]
Then what? Are you ever actually going to tell me anything?
[It pushes him off balance, sliding back. He catches himself in a wide stance, one hand to the ground, face in the lake. He doesn't bother doing anything but shaking it out, just enough to see, because he has to rush back in immediately.]
[ when he rushes in -- he aims the sword in a thrust at the incoming Vergil-missile, aiming to either have him run into at least or have to dodge at an awkward angle ]
Re: 250
Re: 250
See you in twenty or something
[ and true to his word,
he'll be going the fuck to sleep ]
Re: 250
Do not squander the opportunity. But do try to enjoy yourself. I will be here, watching.
[And he lifts a hand, vanishing into a dark portal as he transports Dante into Vergil's dream.]

Might just happen!

- you were trying to kill me!
Re: 250
Yeah, well, even if I killed you here -- not like it would stick, right? In the dream or out.
Re: 250
[He digs his heels into the ground, leaning backward into his right leg, with his sword sheathed but his hand on the hilt.]
Re: 250
[ he takes another step back, swapping out his sword for a moment in favor of his guns, stepping to the side while Vergil prepares that. ]
Re: 250
I don't know, do tell. Because you want to mock me?
Re: 250
That is a pretty good reason.
Re: 250
So you just want to make sure I know I'm inferior.
[He teleports to Dante, already midswing when he appears.]
Re: 250
You really got a -- fixation on that, huh?
Re: 250
[He turns on his heel, turning the sword's momentum into something to block his body, even at the expense of his arm.]
Re: 250
What d'you want me to say? That this is allll 'cause I think I'm better than you?
Re: 250
If that's what you think, then yes. It sure seems that way.
Re: 250
Well -- you got that wrong.
