It's a cowboy hat gadgeteered with a disco lamp.
There's a smaller bundle in tissue paper, inside the hat - with a note. The second gift is instantly recognizable - it's your amulet.
Dad gave this to me when you got transferred. And as much as I love holding onto sentimental items for you two, I figured you should have this back.
